Carols in the church. Bajans in the street. Stars in the rooftop. Kolam in door steps. Voila!! Its gala time!! Its Christmas. Santa on the way.

Regarding the post title, Let me assure you that I have not forgotten prepositions. From time immemorable kids around the globe have written wishlist to dear old Santa. What would be Santa’s wishlist to us? Here is a wishlist from Santa claus, a symbol of love and joy .

1. Avoid chauvinism : Basis of many problems in this world is chauvinism. Age old inter and intra regional and religional conflicts have its roots in chauvinism. Acknowledge the uniqueness of others’ beliefs, Appreciate the goodness and have a healthy argument if you dont subscribe to others’ views.

2. Have a passion for living: It is mainly for all those professionals who have no life outside their cubicle. Hey I know that you work a lot and party a lot. But dont stop there. Try to realise your childhood dreams. You would have been fascinated by that violin your next door uncle casually caries. You would have been eluded by that wonderful French you have heard somewhere. Its time for you to pursue it.

3. Its time to give: Dont forget the reasons behind festivals. Bakeries remind you that its time for cakes and pastries. Those gift shops remind you its time to buy gifts and cards. Let me remind you that its time for charity. In this materialistic world,in the midst of flashy ads and consumerism we often forget the purpose of festivals. Dont limit your gifts only to your near and dear ones. Try to buy a meaningful gift for atleast one poor kid whom you have never known before. Dont wait for those ghosts in Charles Dickens’ ” A Christmas Carol” to enlighten you. Check out here for meaningful gifts. http://www.worldvision.org/

PS: Please feel free to add to the santa’s wishlist. :)

Once again,

Merry X MAS!!
